BJP alleges disrespect to Chamel Singh’s dead body by Pak

JAMMU, Mar 22: BJP Cells State Incharge Sat Sharma (C.A.) has alleged foul play in preliminary post mortem and disrespect to the dead body of Indian citizen Chamel Singh by Pakistan authorities.
Addressing a press conference at Party Headquarters on Friday along with BJP Pargwal Mandal President Jai Singh and State office secretary Naresh Dogra, Sat Sharma said that Chameil Singh died on January 15 this year in Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore district of Pakistan. His body was handed over to the family members on March 13 after conducting the post mortem on the same day at Lahore.
The dead body was brought to Jammu on the same day and the post-mortem of the dead body was conducted on next day i.e. March 14 at GMC Jammu. As per the information from sources, it has been observed that the Board of Doctors at GMC, who conducted the post mortem on March 14, found that vital organs like heart, lungs, kidneys and a portion of liver having been removed prior to handing over the dead body to the family.
Sat Sharma said that the preliminary report, which is said to be handed over to the State authorities, copy of the same has not been issued to the family of the deceased Chamel Singh despite of the repeated requests and representations.
Sat Sharma said that the people of the State and the family members are eager to know the truth about the custodial death of Chamel Singh and therefore the Government should immediately make the report public.
