JAMMU, Sept 20: BJP works on the principle of taking all together and believes in fair deal to women for their socio-political empowerment. This was stated by former Minister, Sat Sharma (CA), while congratulating women on passage of 33 percent political reservation to women.
Sat Sharma was speaking in public darbar at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Sat Sharma said that BJP has always been on forefront for providing women with adequate representation in decision making bodies, the Parliament and assemblies. He said that the party has already granted 33 per cent reservation to women in its organizational set up at all levels.
“Union Cabinet’s approval for granting reservation to women in Parliament and State assemblies will give them opportunities to raise problems particularly related to them and suggested remedies for their redressal”, Sat said and added that Modi Government is really committed to empower in the country.
Sat Sharma, along with J&K BJP secretary, Anju Dogra, Maha Sampark Abhiyan, in charge Ankush Gupta and SC Morcha Seh-Prabhari, Jeet Angral, was listened to the grievances of a large number of people from Talab Tillo, Ramsoo, Chak Nandpur, Bari-Brahmana, Gole Gujral, Sainik Colony, Trikuta Nagar, Vasant Vihar, Rehari and other areas.
They had issues related to water supply, retirement dues, street lights repair, installation of transformer etc. Each issue was taken up with the higher officials of the concerned departments on the spot, stressing for immediate solution.
