JAMMU, Feb 15: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Apni Party leaders separately met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan here today.
The BJP delegation, led by party State President Sat Sharma and MLA Padder-Nagseni Assembly Constituency, Sunil Sharma, discussed important political and developmental issues concerning the UT with the LG.
Meanwhile, the Apni Party (AP) President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari discussed with the LG the prevailing political situation and key public concerns, including pressing grievances.
A statement issued by the party said that Bukhari highlighted a range of significant political, social, and development issues that require urgent attention.
He urged the LG that the Government takes proactive steps to address these concerns in the interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, it said.
The statement further said that one of the key issues raised by Bukhari was the recent killing of a driver in Kashmir, who lost his life in a firing incident at a checkpoint in Baramulla.
The LG gave a patient hearing to the BJP and Apni Party leaders and assured them that their issues would be looked into on priority basis.
