JAMMU, Mar 17: Ex-State president, BJP and its national executive member, Dr Nirmal Singh has been appointed as overall election incharge of all the six Parliamentary seats of the State. This was announced by BJP MP and party incharge for J&K, Avinash Rai Khanna while talking to reporters here on Sunday.
He said Dr Singh possess a vast experience in organizational matters and he would be able to lead the Party in the election successfully. He said Dr Singh’s role in the Assembly elections later this year will also be significant and decisive.
Dr Singh, who was also present in the press conference said that he is a loyal and dedicated soldier of the Party and is fully geared to put in utmost efforts in support of the campaign for the Party.
Mr Khanna, said that J & K is the only State where lakhs of people are living with the tag of refugee with their three generations getting perished while fighting for grant of rights, enjoyed by rest of the citizens in the State.
He said that the people are aware of the all time high corruption in the State, lack of employment avenues, plight of SCs, STs, OBCs and other weaker sections of the society, discrimination, pro-militancy mind set of the Government and hardships of the common man, farmers, border people and internally displaced people. The BJP is conscious that unless these issues are raised in the Parliament, the plight of the people will not improve and they will continue to suffer.
Making an appeal to vote for BJP and its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Khanna said that the nation is yearning for a change and every voter across the country has made up his mind to teach Congress a lesson and bring in Modi as next Prime Minister who is known as a man of development and administrative abilities. He expressed hope that the party will win maximum seats from the State and thereby register their approval of Modi’s Prime Ministerial ship.
State general secretary Kavinder Gupta, State spokesperson Lalit Moza (Adv), State secretary Er Gulam Ali Khatana and State press secretary Balbir Ram Rattan were also present in the press conference.
