BJP befooling people on Smart City Project: NC

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Jan 16: The J&K National Conference has alleged that Smart City project of the BJP Government in Jammu was just a mockery as with only writing on walls the City’s development is not possible.
In a joint statement here today the NC leaders said the BJP has launched merely a ‘writing on walls’ campaign in the City of temples. With this, the city walls, and other places are being defaced. They have tried to dilute the major components of this project. There is no work in progress on major projects like Metro Rail or Tawi River Front.
They claimed that by resorting to such practice the BJP has demeaned even the so called Smart City Project of Jammu. No much work has been witnessed on ground level except raising sign boards or erecting some gates. They are just befooling the people on the name of Smart City. At many places in the City they have committed violation of Municipal Act, inviting punishment.
The NC leaders claimed that the people of J&K being the worst sufferers under the BJP rule today feel highly dismayed. They added that such campaigns are only further exposing the misdeeds of this party. Signatories to this statement include- Vijay Lochan Chairman SC Cell of the party and Rakesh Singh, Central Zone vice president of JKNC for Jammu.
