MAHORE (Reasi), Apr 21: Former Minister and Congress candidate from Jammu-Samba-Reasi seat, Raman Bhalla today said that BJP believes in dividing people on communal lines, crush them and rule.
Addressing election rallies in remote areas of Reasi including Chasana, Sungri, Shajroo, Rangli, Badar, Sanglikote and Mahore today Bhalla said large public gatherings in favour of Congress is an indication of the reality that INC is emerging as first choice of people in Jammu region.
Bhalla said that Congress is the only secular, democratic alternative to the present dispensation (BJP) which believes in divide, crush and rule. He said that winds of change are blowing in J&K and Congress is emerging as a first choice in J&K in view of the consistency in its policy and secular credentials. He said that people in Jammu & Kashmir feel cheated from BJP whom they voted to majority in 2014. He said BJP so far has run govt against the wishes of the people. Still people expected them to deliver and come up to their expectations, to which they utterly failed because of their vested agenda.
Congress leader said BJP badly divided the people on regional and religious lines and vitiated the overall social and secular atmosphere besides failed to deal with the security environment and finally left J&K in political uncertainty. He said that Congress party would always remain steady on its principles of secularism, and equality for all and equitable development of J&K.
Bhalla charged the Government in J&K for creating a mess of the whole situation and worst ever misrule in the history of the State. He said that 2014/2019 elections were held in a totally polarized atmosphere and the BJP not only exploited the religious emotions of people but also surrendered before the hunger of power. People saw real face of BJP when it came to power after total surrender of their agenda.
Coming down heavily on BJP he said, the party befooled the people with their false promises and they completely failed to fulfil the promises made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The first time rule under BJP proved to be worse of its kind where the common masses were suffering and ruling class enjoyed royal lifestyle.
Prominent among those present on the occasion include former and NC leader Abdul Gani Malik, District president Reasi Bopinder Singh Jamwal, DDC Master Mohd Israil, Sarpanch Chatter Singh, Adv Ayaz Hussain and Abdul Gani- Block president.
