JAMMU, Sept 13: BJP bigwigs including former Rajya Sabha Member and BJP National general secretary, Dushyant Kumar Gautam and BJP J&K president, Ravinder Raina here today inaugurated Bharat Rattan Dr. B.R Ambedkar Community Hall at Ward number 12 in Krishna Nagar.
The inauguration ceremony featured a short programme organized by senior BJP leader and JMC Councillor of Ward number 12, Jeet Angral who also remained JMC Chairman and played important role in development of the Ward.
BJP District Jammu president, Parmodh Kaphai and Mandal president, Keshav Chopra were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Gautam paid glowing tributes to Dr. B.R Ambedkar and resented the absence of a memorial dedicated to this remarkable leader, but, he proudly noted that PM Modi has taken initiative to construct memorials in honour of Dr. Ambedkar at various locations across the country.
“Simply reading about Ambedkar is not enough but it is imperative to embody his principles in daily lives,” he said adding that schemes launched by PM Modi are all designed to uplift the downtrodden masses of our society-a message that resonated deeply with Dr. Ambedkar’s core philosophy.
He said that the multipurpose community hall constructed with efforts of JMC Councillor, Jeet Angral will benefit numerous people especially locals of the area.
Ravinder Rana said that dedicated efforts of Jeet Angral have played an instrumental role in transforming Ward 12, Krishna Nagar into a better place.
Jeet Angral delivered vote of thanks and said that the multipurpose community hall shall be a hub for various community activities.
Many BJP leaders and activists were also present on the occasion.
