JAMMU, June 4: A high-level team of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today held detailed interactions with the victims of discriminatory Article 370 and Article 35-A, including West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs), Valmikis and Gorkhas to obtain firsthand assessment of improvement in their lives post-abrogation of these laws in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the second-day of their Bharat Darshan Sushasan Yatra in Jammu Kashmir, the BJYM team comprising its national media in-charge, Amandeep Singh, BJYM State president, Arun Prabhat and others visited border village Chakroi in R S Pura under Sushasan Yatra and held threadbare discussions with WPRs in the presence of former Minister, Sham Lal Choudhary.
During the interactions, the representatives of WPRs told the visiting group that they had remained worst-sufferers of the Article 370 and Article 35-A for decades and they were kept deprived of their legitimate rights by the Kashmir-based political parties for their vested interests.
“The BJP Government at the Centre, headed by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has now delivered them justice by granting them all rights which are being enjoyed by the every citizen of this country,” they said.
In his address, Amandeep Singh said that the prime objective of the visit was to get a firsthand feedback of all stakeholders who have directly or indirectly been benefitted by the Centre’s historic decisions.
“Under the theme, “Eight Saal Seva, Sushasan aur Gareeb Kalyan”, the Yatra is aimed at throwing a light on three points, Sewa, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan, which are the main focus of governance ensured by the BJP-led Government at the Centre. It is also aimed at highlighting the unprecedented development activities initiated by the BJP Government under the dynamic and visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during the last eight years,” Arun Prabhat said while interacting with WPRs.
Addressing the participants, former Minister, Sham Lal Choudhary also highlighted the various initiatives undertaken by the BJP-led Government at the Centre to carry out unprecedented and equitable development across J & K.
The visiting team also interacted with the people of Gorkha and Valmiki Samaj, who were the victims of Article 370 and Article 35-A.
