JAMMU, Aug 14: Under party’s ongoing programme of reaching the BJP activists at every level, interact with them and take stock of the political and organization activities, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, secretary and district Prabhari, Rekha Mahajan, undertook two days tour of Ward 12, 14, 30,31,40 and 41 falling under Talab Tillo Mandal of Jammu West district.
The programmes were organised under Mandal president, BJP Talab Tillo, Keshav Chopra.
Besides, discussing party activities and future programmes in these wards, Rekha Mahajan also honoured the veteran activists of Praja Parishad agitation residing in Talab Tillo.
While speaking in the Ward meetings, she said that the BJP has been continuously working to strengthen the party at all levels and it is not possible without the active participation of every activist and also involvement of the general public. In order to involve the people in party’s programmes and seek their support to make it a party having mass base, the role of the party activists is very important, she added.
Rekha said that BJP is the only political party having a cadre, which is its real strength and always on ground to serve the people in every situation. She said that although BJP Government at the Centre has done splendid work in matters related to development and welfare, it is the worker, who contributes a lot in reaching and educating the people about what is there for them in different welfare schemes besides details of various mega development projects of road, rail and air connectivity, healthcare, education, power generation, socio-economic upliftment of weaker sections etc.
Rekha, along with Mandal team, honoured Mangat Ram, Sushila Gupta and Nirmal Bhardwaj, for their splendid role during the historic agitation of 1953 under the slogan of Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan.
BJP Talab Tillo Mandal president, Keshav Chopra briefed about the organizational set up of the party while general secretary of the district Rajesh Gupta stressed the partymen to identify the deserving people and help them in availing the benefits of Government schemes.
