BJP candidates continue campaigning

JAMMU, Nov 23: In an intensive campaign for the MLCs’ forthcoming elections, BJP candidates Rashpal Verma and Col. (retd) Uttam Singh strongly advocated their candidature in the areas they visited. They interacted with Panchs and Sarpanchs to garner support in their favour by exposing the Government’s policy on providing security to them. They also apprised them of BJP stand on empowering Panchayats by bringing 73rd Amendment, which both the candidates believed that the ruling Government is playing politics over the issue leaving Panchs and Sarpanchs helpless.
The BJP candidates while canvassing, assured the voters of their firm commitment to work for the benefit of Panchayats if they become successful in the forthcoming elections.
In this context, meetings were held in at different places where Col. Uttam Singh visited to gather support. Col. Singh accompanied by  Dr. Nirmal Singh,  Dina Nath Bhagat,   Jodginder Singh Chib,  Mohan Lal, Beant Gupta and Vijyant Gupta toured, Srar, Latti, Dupp, Maroti, Dudu, Chenani, Koi, Gordi, Bandhol and Basantgarh.  Som Raj, Balwan Singh, Vijay Sharma, Beant Gupta, Mohd. Sariq Malik (Sarpanch Latti), Rahamtullah (Panch) and Kulveer Singh(Panch) were also present in the meeting.
While  Raspal Verma campaigned in Vijaypur, Samba, Bari Brahmana, Majalta, Gho Brahmana, alongwith,  Chander Prakash Ganga, Keshav Dutt, Kashmir Singh, Subhash Bhagat,  Sanjiv Sharma and various other Panchs and Sarpanchs joined in the meetings who assured support to both the candidates.
