BJP celebrates appointment of Modi as Chairman ECC

JAMMU, June 9: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) workers of district Jammu Mahanagar today celebrated the announcement of Narendra Modi as the Chairman of Election Campaign Committee (ECC) of the party. The jubilant party workers held a function and celebrated the occasion by lighting fire crackers and distributing sweets.
Slogans like ‘Desh Ka Neta Kaisa Ho, Narendra Modi Jaisa Ho’ and ‘BJP Zindabaad’ were raised by the workers to celebrate their happiness. The programme was organized under the leadership of district president BJP Jammu, Rajesh Gupta.
In his address Rajesh Gupta said that under the leadership of Rajnath Sinhgh, national president of the party and Narendra Modi as the Chairman of Election Campaign Committee BJP will sweep the elections whether in States or at Centre. At the time when the people are annoyed with the UPA Government they are looking for NDA to come in the power. Corruption, price rise and mismanagement on the part of the Congress led UPA has betrayed the people and they have pinned hopes in BJP.
Others who spoke on the occasion were State general secretaries Kavinder Gupta, Bali Bhagat and Sat Sharma (CA) State Cells Incharge.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Shiv Kumar Gupta, Naresh Dogra, Jaideep Sharma, Sanjay Baru, Ashok Khajuria, Bawa Sharma, Surinder Bhagat, Vinay Gupta, ND Rajwal, Sunil Dogra, Sat Pal Choudhary, PC Bhagat, Puran Sharma, Rakesh Mishra, Rajkumar, Naresh Bhardwaj, Arun Sethi, Ajay Vaid, Pitamber Sharma, Sub. Gurcharan Singh and Amarjit Singh.
Meanwhile, All Parties Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (APMCCC) chief Vinod Pandit and its national spokesperson King C Bharti have also welcomed the appointment of Mr Modi a Chairman BJP ECC and expressed the hope that with this decision the BJP will sweep the forthcoming elections in the country.
