BJP celebrates its 42nd Foundation Day across J&K

JAMMU, Apr 6: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its 42nd Foundation Day across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir today with much fan fare and enthusiasm.
In this connection functions, rallies and flag hoisting was held across the UT. The rallies were addressed by national and UT leaders of the party.
J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina and former Dy. CM, Kavinder Gupta accompanied by other senior party leaders hoisted the party flag at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here.
Office secretary, Tilak Raj Gupta, spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, Mahila Morcha president, Sanjita Dogra, district president, Vinay Gupta, senior leader, Shailja Gupta, councillors Lucky Puri, Ajay Gupta and Jyoti Devi, Sanjay Bakshi and other party leaders were also present in the programme.
All party senior leaders including former ministers, former MLAs, former MLCs, J&K BJP office bearers, party district presidents, party’s DDC and BDC members, Sarpanches and Panches, party activists and primary members hoisted party flags at their residences and booths across the J&K UT. All district presidents of BJP hoisted party flags at their respective district offices.
Ravinder Raina while addressing the programme at BJP Headquarters said that on this day in 1980, the BJP was established to give a strong representation to the nationalist voice in the country. He said the party has today established itself as unique voice of the people of the country due to the selfless and hard work of its dedicated cadre and the strong leadership provided by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, BJP national president, J.P. Nadda and others.
Raina said that BJP has always served the society keeping national interest in mind. Today BJP has 18 crore members who are involved in dedicatedly serving the nation and society.
Raina, remembered contributions of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay , Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Deputy PM, L K Advani and other great ideologues on the occasion.
Kavinder Gupta emphasized on the historical relevance of the need of a strong political party based on the values of nationalism. He said that the strong organizational fabric of the party keeps track of the working system of the party.
BJP Kashmir unit also celebrated 42th Foundation Day at J-53 Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar. The function was organized by district unit Srinagar led by Ashok Bhat.
Speaking on the occasion national general secretary, Vinod Tawdey said that people have made the BJP as the country’s largest political party in terms of representation in the national Parliament and State Assemblies and the ‘Lotus’ is blooming in every nook and corner of the country. The emerging dominance of the BJP under Narendra Modi and Amit Shah’s leadership has given sleepless nights to the Congress that ruled for 60 years after Independence. Such is the situation that there has been no effective opposition in the country in the last eight years, he added.
He said: “BJP is committed to India’s unity and integrity, its intrinsic identity and the social strength.” The party believes in the principle of “Justice for all and appeasement of none”, that was why it attracted large masses into its fold and has become the world’s largest party in terms of primary membership
Speaking on the occasion, co-incharge J&K Ashish Sood said that BJP always aims to work for the welfare of the people. The people have shown so much love and support for the party all these years, he said. He said that BJP supports the ones who work hard for the party. The parties in power earlier practised vote bank politics in which promises were made to some sections of society while others were ignored, he said.
While unfurling the party flag, general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul said that BJP was one of the few parties in India to have a popular-based governing structure, where workers and leaders at the local level have a great say in much of the decision-making.
Meanwhile, All district of Valley and Jammu also celebrated BJP’s Foundation Day and hoisted party flag at district party offices & Mandals.
Present on the occasion were Kashmir media incharge Manzoor Bhat, publicity secretary, Arif Raja, grievance incharge, Dr. Rafi and office secretary, Salinder Singh.
BJP general secretary Vibodh Gupta celebrated the Foundation Day at Polling Booth of Chhani Himmat. While addressing the party men, he said booth level workers are the strength of the party.
Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, along with senior leader, Chander Mohan Sharma, hoisted party’s flag in Booth No. 128 of Jammu West Assembly segment.
On the occasion of Foundation Day, BJP UT vice president, Yudhvir Sethi led a bike rally of the party activists in Jammu which started from Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan Kacchi Chawni and after passing through various routes concluded at Brahman Sabha Parade.
BJP secretary and Prabhari Akhnoor, Rekha Mahajan along with district president, Akhnoor, Jagdish Bhagat and district team hoisted party Flag at BJP office Akhnoor.
BJP senior leader Ch. Vikram Randhawa hoisted party flag at village Langer in Gandhi Nagar and party senior leader Kuldeep Raj Gupta hoisted the flag at Rajouri.
BJP Senior Leader and JMC Councillior Sanjay Kumar Baru hoisted party flag in a function organized by Jammu-west (Booth-42) president, Rakesh Sharma at Wazir lane, Bohri in ward-41.
