JAMMU, Oct 11: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today conducted an extensive tour of Raipur Satwari in Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment as part of public outreach programme.
During his visit to the area the locals raised many issues pertaining to development of the locality which include internal roads, lanes & drains, water supply, power infrastructure and many others.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that BJP Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is committed for all round development of all the hamlets of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and a comprehensive plan is in offing. He said that the Government is giving due focus to develop all those areas which have been neglected by the previous regimes. He said that with this aim the administration of Lieutenant Governor has launched Back to Village programme so that the genuine demands of the rural area be listed and addressed. “Likewise the public outreach programme has been initiated by the BJP national president, JP Nadda to reach out to every nook and corner to oversee the genuine problems of the people for early redressal. “Moreover this initiative is also part of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s slogan ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Vikas'”, he added.
He assured the people of the area to put up all their demands before the concerned agencies for early redressal. He further assured the inhabitants of the area that no stone will be left unturned to resolve their issues.
The locals expressed their gratitude to the former MLC for visiting and listening to their demands. He also extended full support to the BJP in coming future.
