BJP committed to raise status of women: Sethi

JAMMU, Aug 2: The newly appointed BJP Mahila Morcha State president, Rajni Sethi, held meetings with Morcha activists of district Jammu & district Jammu West interacted the party activists in presence of district Jammu president Baldev Singh Billawaria and district Jammu West president, Ayodhya Gupta.
State general secretaries of Mahila Morcha, Sanjita Dogra, Shailja Gupta, Morcha district president Jammu, Rekha Mahajan, Morcha district president, Jammu West Veena Gupta and other senior leaders were also present during the programmes.
Rajni Sethi, while addressing the meetings, focused on the strengthening of BJP Mahila Morcha. She said that the ladies form a substantial population any nation and such their effective participation in any of the decision making process is extremely essential. She said that BJP holds the uniqueness of single party to focus on true women empowerment. She claimed that whereas, other political parties only made hollow promises but at the same time, BJP remained committed to work on ground to raise the status of women.
Sethi said that to further strengthen the voice of women, the BJP Mahila Morcha leaders need to work hard. She said that despite the added responsibility of home making on women in society, the women are creating history and bringing laurels to the State and the nation in various fields. She exhorted the women folk to come forward and take lead role in politics to press for their genuine issues. She asked the Morcha leaders to involve five ladies from every booth in Mahila Morcha to further strengthen the organization.
Baldev Singh Billawaria, in his address said that the Morcha forms an essential unit of party, with their active participation party can scale victory in every election.
Ayodhya Gupta, lauded the role of Morcha activists in ensuring the reach of every public welfare scheme initiated by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi up to the common masses.
Earlier Rajni Sethi was also felicitated by Morcha leaders under the leadership of Rekha Mahajan and Veena Gupta during the meetings.
Radha Sharma, Monika Gupta, Asha Sharma, Jyoti Bhat, Ranjana Khair, ChanderMukhi, Kiran Wali, Anju Gupta, Savita Anand, Rekha Chouhan, Anita Gupta, Sangeeta were among the prominent Morcha leaders present during the meetings.
