KATHUA, Sept 8: Former Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Jasrota Assembly constituency, Rajiv Jasrotia today stated that his party is committed to restore the Statehood of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A commitment regarding restoration of Statehood has been made on the floor of the house by the senior party functionaries and they’re committed to honour their promises,” Jasrotia said.
He said opposition parties have been deliberately trying to create issue regarding the restoration of Statehood.
“As promised by the senior party leadership, the Statehood will be restored at an appropriate time. The opposition is only making people fool on this demand now,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jasrotia told the media persons that he will file nomination papers on September 11 from Jasrota Assembly segment.
