JAMMU, Sept 29: Rakesh Mahajan, incharge of BJP All Cells in Jammu & Kashmir today highlighted the failures of successive regimes headed by Congress, NC and PDP in addressing the concerns of marginalized communities during last seven decades of their rule.
Rakesh Mahajan made these remarks during an awareness campaign held at Bazigar Mohalla in Ward No 47, here, today. The programme was attended by prominent local figures, including corporator Ward No 47 Sharda Kumar and Corporator Ward 54 Ajay Gupta.
Addressing the residents of Bazigar Mohalla, Mahajan emphasized the commitment of the BJP Government at the Centre towards uplifting the lives of weaker sections of society. He noted that numerous communities had been denied their rights by previous governments, specifically the National Conference (NC), Congress, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had exploited Article 370 for their political gains.
He underscored the importance of conducting awareness programmes during the ongoing Sewa Pakhwada, aimed at informing people about the Government’s initiatives for their welfare. He detailed several flagship schemes launched by the BJP Government designed to benefit the weaker sections of society, which included Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), Jan Aushadhi Yojana, Stand Up India, National Health Mission (NHM), Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, National Scholarship Portal (NSP), Digital India, Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana and many more.
He asserted that these schemes reflect the Government’s commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society by addressing the specific needs and challenges faced by economically weaker and other marginalized communities.
