BJP committed to welfare of underprivileged: Yudhvir

JAMMU, Aug 20: Yudhvir Sethi, vice president, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir and senior party leader has said that BJP Government at the Centre under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is committed to the welfare and economic upliftment of the underprivileged including the members of Scheduled Caste community.
The senior BJP leader expressed this while addressing a gathering during a simple yet impressive function in which he honured Rajkumar Malhotra and Pritam Kumar of Mahasha Biradari on being appointed as respective Working Chairman and Vice Chairman of Mandir Thakar Dwara (MTD), Mohalla Old Rehari here, today. While complementing both the newly appointed members, Yudhvir Sethi hoped that they will work relentlessly for the betterment of the Mandir Thakar Dwara.
Yudhvir Sethi asserted that during the past about eight years, while a large number of schemes have been launched for the benefit of each and every section of the society, at the same time the underprivileged sections especially the Schedule Caste community has been receiving special attention of the Prime Minister, Modi led Government at the Centre in all matters and at all levels. Highlighting the features of some of the schemes and policies launched by the Government at the Centre for the welfare of public in general and the underprivileged communities in particular,
Sethi appealed to the people to come forward and become proactive partners in the development and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir by strengthening the hands of PM Modi who has envisioned the overall development and prosperity of this fragile region.
Yudhvir Sethi said that BJP cadre has reached out to all the sections of the society including the underprivileged ones in the J&K UT and a number of schemes for strengthening the poor, Dalits, farmers and backward castes have been implemented by the synchronized efforts of the Government and the party cadre.
