BJP completely surrendered before PDP: Congress

JAMMU, Mar 10: Senior Congress leader and former Minister, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has showed serious concern over the complete surrender of BJP before PDP by compromising its main agenda and commitment made in vision document made during Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
“The Common Minimum Program (CMP) of present PDP and BJP coalition Government has totally exposed BJP as there is nothing included in favour of Jammu province”, Dr Sharma said in a statement.
He said that the recent release of Masrat Alam, a hardcore militant and separatist leader has completely exposed the BJP for its pseudo nationalist slogan against anti-national elements. “This is the modus operandi of the BJP, as during the regime of V P Singh Jan Morcha and BJP, five militants were released by the Government and again during Atal Behari Vajpayee Government hardcore terrorist, Azhar Masood along with his associates was released and taken safely by the Foreign Minister of India to Kandhar”, he added.
Now Masrat Alam responsible for the death of 120 people has been released and a list of 15 more militants is ready to release, he said and questioned why Dr Nirmal Singh, a BJP leader and Deputy CM of the State is a mute spectator to all the anti-national decisions of PDP.
Expressing astonishment over Prime Minister and Home Minister of India’s remarks that they had no knowledge of release of Masrat Alam and State Government was not taken in confidence before taking decision, he said it is a grave issue due to which the security and unity of the country is in question.
