JAMMU, Apr 6: Former Minister and PCC vice president, Mula Ram today asserted that BJP has compromised on all issues and slogans for the sake of power and it stand badly exposed in front of the people of Jammu region.
Addressing an election campaign meeting at village Ghari of Raipur-Domana in support of Congress candidate for Jammu- Poonch Parliamentary Constitu-ency Raman Bhalla, Mula Ram criticized BJP for befooling and exploiting the religious and regional sentiments of people in Jammu region for political gains.
“The people of border areas and our brave soldiers are sacrificing their lives because of the weak-policies of the Modi Government,” he said.
Mula Ram said that BJP totally ignored the border people and farmers of Jammu region and they have been left to suffer badly. He targeted BJP at the Centre and also previous BJP-PDP regime in the State for the situation along the borders in J&K and said that ceasefire violations have increased manifold during Modi regime.
DCC Rural president Hari Singh Chib said the people of the State are fed up of the policies of BJP and want change. “The recent elections in Rajasthan, MP and Chhatisgarh have set the trend,” he said, adding that J&K would also witness a change this time. He appealed to the people of Raipur -Domana Constituency to support Raman Bhalla in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections to restore the dignity of the people of Jammu region.
Impressed by the policies and programmes of Congress, the residents of village Ghari extended full support to the Congress Party in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
Among others who addressed the gathering included Ram Paul, Madan Lal and several Sarpanches of the area.
