BJP constitutes State Committee of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

JAMMU, Sept 21: To pursue the national mission of Swachh Bharat set by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the State BJP constituted State Committee of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with Bhupinder Singh as its convenor.
The other members of the Committee which were nominated included Charanjit Singh Khalsa, Sofi Yousf, Surinder Ambardar, State spokesperson Prof Virender Gupta, Virinder Bali, Aditya Bakshi, Advocate Sanjeet Bivoria, BJYM leader Dr Makson Tickoo.
According to a BJP handout, the first meeting of the Committee was held here today under the leadership of Ashok Kaul, general secretary (organization) BJP. The meeting decided to launch a campaign for the cleanliness in the State on October 2 while commemorating the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi.
The Party workers in their respective localities with the help of the concerned local authorities will take a drive to clean their surroundings with the general cooperation of people.
The members of the Committee and the Party workers will also contact the various Government institutions and seek their cooperation in making the localities and surrounding clean.
