JAMMU, Feb 4: Strongly condemning unprovoked brutal lathi-charge on the job aspirants in Jammu, youth wing Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) today said that BJP controlled administration ‘shamelessly’ using oppressive means to stifle the voice of people.
“Although every section of the society is bearing brunt of the wrong policies being pursued by the present regime, youth are worst victims because this dispensation to hell-bent to adjust local locals on Government jobs”, said Varinder Singh Sonu spokesman of PDP youth wing while addressing a press conference here today.
Strongly condemning inhuman treatment meted out to a large number of aspirants and candidates for different categories of ongoing selections including border battalions of JKP, CISF/BSF as well as other ongoing selections, Varinder Singh said the cruel action of the authorities reflects the mindset of those at the helm of the affairs.
He asserted that the youth wing of PDP will oppose oppressive policies being adopted by the J&K as well as the Central Government to shamelessly suppress the voice of the youth, women, farmers and other weaker sections of the society.
“This Government is adopting oppressive means to snub those who are agitating for just and genuine demands”, he said and cautioned that the ways being adopted by the Government would be proved disastrous for democracy in a sensitive state like J&K.
Pointing towards brutal and unprovoked lathi-charge on job aspirants, PDP leader said it is unfortunate and highly condemnable that instead of listening to grievances of the youth cops shamelessly used force and misbehaved with some females only to keep their political bosses in good humour.
PDP youth wing leader also flayed the J&K Government for betraying refugees of different categories and backtracking from the earlier promises made with these refugees by the BJP led government at the Centre.
