Cong takes out mega road show in Bishnah

JAMMU, Mar 31: J&K Pradesh Congress (JKPCC) today took out a mega road show in Bishnah Assembly segment which was led by former Minister and Congress candidate from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Raman Bhalla.
During election campaign series of public meetings were held in the border town of Arnia and adjoining villages. The road show passed through villages Palli Morh, Kanher (Lower and upper), Chak Avtara, Convent School Chowk, Tara Chowk, Dabbad, Deoli, Laswada, Makhanpur, Pascal, Pandoria etc. During meetings en-route, NC and Congress leaders emphasized the people to ensure victory of Congress candidate in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
A public meeting was organised at Arnia town, which was attended by many Panches and Sarpanches besides youth and others. Addressing public, Bhalla highlighted the local issues. He referred to the sufferings of border people due to heavy firing recently by Pakistan causing loss of life and property of the people. He alleged that BJP conveniently forgot the border people’s issues. He assured the villagers that, if elected, it will be his sincere effort to take up their issues strongly with the Government for the redressal.
Bhalla expressed confidence that Congress party will win the ensuing Lok Sabha election with a thumping majority and extended his appeal to people of entire Jammu and Kashmir to exercise their franchise in favour of the Congress candidates to ensure defeat of BJP, which is responsible for the damages caused to peace and development both in the country and State.
Former Minister conducted a door- to-door campaign in Bishnah town and sought public support. He had a patient hearing of local problems while holding interaction with the people irrespective of caste, creed, culture, religion or profession. He further added that he has dedicated himself for the welfare and development of people provided he is given a chance to serve the people.
Bhalla said BJP had turned deaf and dumb on the plight of border migrants and asked as to how much time it took for planning and firming up relief and rehabilitation. “They had all the time to explore possibilities of forming the Government but literally not a moment to express a word of solidarity towards the hapless residents,” he said.
Prominent among those who participated in road shows include ex-MLA Kamal Arora (NC), FC Bhagat (PDP), Shashi Sharma (Cong), Dawarka Choudhary and MK Bhardwaj Cong).
