Led by its president, Vikar Rasool, along with several other workers attempted to leave the party headquarters here to stage a protest, but the police did not permit them to proceed on to the road.
Addressing the media, Vikar stated that the BJP is attempting to create obstacles in the Yatra and perceives its defeat due to the support Rahul Gandhi is receiving.
“The protest has been carried out across India as in Assam, there was stone-pelting on the Yatra, and BJP members with flags tried to disrupt it,” he said.
Vikar said that Rahul has gained immense support during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, and now a sea of people is with him during the Nyay Yatra. “This has frustrated the BJP, which can see their defeat,” he said.
Vikar emphasized that the Congress party is conducting the Yatra democratically and will not allow the BJP to disturb it at any cost.
“We will not let it happen, and if such incidents persist, we will take to the streets, making it difficult for the Modi Government to control the situation.”
