JAMMU, Sept 3: Apni Party has strongly condemned BJP for deceived Jammuties by compromising identity of Dogras as divisive politics has hurt the relations between the two regions which needs to be rebuilt.
In the workers meeting held at party office here today, general secretaries Vijay Bakaya, Vikram Malhotra and Provincial president, Jammu, Manjit Singh, Ex MLA Prem Lal and Ex- MLA Faqir Nath among other leaders strongly criticized BJP for ignoring aspirations of Jammu people.
During the meeting, the Apni Party leaders discussed organizational issues and reviewed progress in the membership drive. Issues faced by Jammu businessmen, traders, industrialists, hoteliers, tourism industry, transport sector etc. were also discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, Bakaya said that the Party has won the confidence of the people due to which many have joined the political movement towards truthfulness.
“We assure what is achievable without misleading the people. We speak the truth and represent the people of all areas equally,” he said.
He said that the party leaders should have aggressive public contact programmes in every knock and corner of Jammu region.
Malhotra, while speaking in the meeting said that BJP has left the people of Jammu district unrepresented and it has led to increase in every day issues whether price rise, failure of Jammu Municipal Corporation in many developmental issues, the Smart City has remained a dream, and tourism and business has nosedived.
“The people had trusted BJP and voted them to power in the last assembly in the erstwhile assembly of J&K. However, the BJP has not been able to fulfill the promises made with the people which resulted in poor pace of developmental projects,” he said.
Manjit Singh asked the party leaders to expedite membership drive in the province and agenda of the party should reach every knock and corner across Jammu.
“The response of people to the policy and agenda of the Apni Party is tremendous which shows that we have been able to win the confidence of the people. There is a political vacuum in Jammu particularly because of the failure of the political parties to represent the aspiration of the people,” Singh said..
Senior members Ajaz Kazmi, Saleem Choudhary, Dr Rohit Gupta, Aslam Malik, Shanker Singh Chib, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, Abhay Bakaya, Madan Lal Chalotra, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Shamim Dar, Umar Malik and others were also present.
