JAMMU, May 26: BJP has deferred the nation-wide Jail Bharo Andolan commencing from tomorrow in view of the massacre of innocent people and Congress leaders by Naxalites in Chatisgarh.
The BJP has strongly condemned the Naxal attack and termed it a cowardice act. The BJP in its National Executive meet to be held at Goa on June 8 will discuss the issue and announce the future programme. This was stated in a party handout circulated from New Delhi today.
When contacted the party State chief spokesperson and National Executive Member, Dr Jitendra Singh said that R P Mehra national secretary of the party who had to lead the party andolan from Jammu tomorrow has also cancelled his proposed visit in view of deferment of the agitational programme by BJP.
