LEH, Mar 10: Delegation from Drass, led by chief patron BJP Unit Drass, Fayaz Ahmad Qari called on Lt Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra at the Raj Niwas to raise several issues
Fayaz informed the LG about the work assigned to a private company to prepare the detailed project report (DPR) for the ropeway to Mum Mun Top at Drass. He also informed that the company has failed to submit the DPR even after a period of one year. He requested for LG’s intervention in starting the project work at the earliest to develop Drass as a prized tourist destination.
Fayaz also requested LG for his intervention in issuing directions to the concerned officials to develop a tulip garden in Mumail on the lines of the famous Tulip Garden of Srinagar. He also apprised LG of the fertility of the soil and the potential of growing wild tulip in Drass to attract more tourists to Drass.
The LG assured to look into the matter. He informed about his vision to develop Ladakh into one of the best Union Territories in the country.
