BJP delegation from Reasi meets LG, submits charter of demands

JAMMU, Aug 20: A delegation of BJP district Reasi called on Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha today and apprised him of the various issues confronting the people of the district and demanded their immediate solution.
The delegation as led by Sheel Magotra, district president BJP Reasi and he was accompanied by Raman Kumar, general secretary of the district, its vice presidents Pardeep Singh Kaurna Nidhi and Sham Lal.
The delegation also submitted a memorandum of demands to Manoj Sinha stressing on their immediate and time bound solution.
The memorandum demanded settlement of problems of Mata Vaishno Devi Baridars, construction of alternative Highway from Reasi to Jammu via Dehra Baba and Nagrota, exemption of Ban Toll Tax for entire district Reasi residents and opening of KV at Pouni township of Reasi district.
The delegation also demanded opening of SDM Office, KV, Degree College at Arnas besides construction of motorable bridge over Nallah Ans at Taddu in Arnas tehsil.
While highlighting the problems faced by the people of Chassana, the delegation demanded opening of Degree College at Chassana, KVs at Mahore and Chassana, construction of tunnel from Gulabgarh to Kashmir valley, construction of Rail track from Kouri to Rajouri via Arnas Dharmari, Mahore and Chassana and speeding the construction of all the roads under PMGSY and CRF schemes in Gulabgarh constituency.
The Lt Governor assured the delegation of settling the genuine demands of the people of the area.
