JAMMU, July 3: BJP delegation led by senior leader Moti Kaul and president of Kashmir Displaced Unit T.N Bhat called on Commissioner/Secretary Relief and Rehabilitation here today and discussed various problems being faced by displaced people with him.
As per a release, Moti Kaul apprised Commissioner/ Secretary regarding the various problems faced by the displaced community in exile and non serious attitude of the Relief authorities in this regard.
A memorandum of problems faced by the Displaced Pandits was submitted by President T.N Bhat and point wise problems faced were discussed which included, issuance of new ration cards, issuance of monthly ration supply, bifurcation of ration cares, new registration of displaced persons, irregular water supply problems of Jagti township including other TRTs, construction of new flats at Purkhoo, Removal of encroachments from migrants land, shrines and orchards in Kashmir Valley, medical facility at Jagti, issuance of rural backward areas certificates, soft loan facility to displaced traders and maintenance of Jagti, Nagrota, Muthi, Buta Nagar flats.
The Commissioner/ Secretary apprised the delegation that Ration slips will be distributed before 15th of this month latest by last week end of the month and he urged the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner to get the bifurcation of the rations card procedure simplified so that the applicants will get the bifurcated cards within a month. It was also suggested that simplified single window system needs to be adopted in this office so that every application submitted will be given due receipt and for the same the days for the complete action will be restricted to two weeks at the most.
