JAMMU, Mar 15: BJP is for deportation of illegal immigrants from other countries including Rohingyas who are putting up in the State by the lawful means.
This was stated by BJP Spokesperson, Brig (retd) Anil Gupta while talking to reporters here, today. He said it was the BJP only which from the first day of Rohingyas settlement in Jammu has demanded their deportation by lawful means.
He termed the reports as rubbish that the people who attacked the journalists at the Rohingyas camp two days back were linked to BJP and said that BJP from day one has demanded the deportation of Rohingyas and never supported their settlement in Jammu.
Brig Gupta turning tables on Congress and NC said Rohingyas were settled here during their rule and they never took an initiative of deporting them from the State for their vested interests.
He outrightly rejected that the two youth who attacked the journalists were any way linked to BJP and it was creating hurdles in registering FIR against them. He said the police should register FIR against the two youth and they should be punished under law.
He said BJP has online membership and 11 crore people all over country are its members while it has six lakh members in J&K but party members are responsible people and they will never take law and order in their hands, he added.
He denied that BJP or any of its leader was interfering and working against the registration of FIR against the duo.
He said the Government of India is also seized off with the Rohingyas issue and it has taken up the same with Myanmar Government also which is willing to take them back now. He expressed the hope that the Rohingyas deportation will take place in a peaceful way.
On formation of political party by Hafiz Syed mastermind of terrorism in Pakistan, Brig Gupta said that Pakistan this way has been exposed as it is now bringing terrorism into main stream. This way Pakistan is making terrorism a part of its State policy, he added.
