BJP destroyed identity, status of J&K: Congress

JAMMU, Dec 17: Former MLA Ashok Sharma (Convenor Vichar Bhivag) and former MLC Ravinder Sharma conducted tour of different villages and appealed to the people to defeat the BJP because of its anti-youth, anti-poor, anti-farmers policies.
Addressing series of meetings at Patrara, Langar, Bhata and Thandapani today, senior Congress leaders appealed to people to reject the anti-people policies of BJP which has destroyed the identity of historical state of Jammu and Kashmir and ruined the future of youth because of its policies.
Ashok Sharma said that Congress brought massive development during its tenure all over country and Jammu and Kashmir. He said that all major projects in Sunderbani are due to the efforts of Congress leaders from time to time. The hospitals, schools and administrative units at the door step are the gift of Congress but BJP gave only hollow slogans and secured massive mandate by exploiting people. He said that politics of hate and division spread by BJP which is dangerous for the future generations. He urged the people to elect the Congress backed candidate, Arun Sharma.
Ravinder Sharma referred to the numerous achievements of Congress party in the area, especially in the power sector, hospitals, education, road connectivity, employment and development. He said that Sunderbani got degree college, more than 15 crore hospital project, SDM Office, BDO Office, Higher Secondary Schools, High School in Patrara besides various irrigation projects and roads connectivity and asked BJP to explain why it failed to construct degree college building during past 7 years rule in the Centre and State. He appealed to the people to vote in favour of Congress backed candidate Arun Sharma for the better development of the area.
PYC District president Arjun Sharma, Ex-Sarpanch Ashok Sharma, local leaders Sanjeev Sharma, Shabir Ahmed, Naresh Sharma, Vishnu Sharma, Capt. Prem Nath, Des Raj, Ranjit Singh, Fategh Singh and others also spoke on the occasion.
