JAMMU, July 25: In a meeting held at Trikuta Nagar Office, chaired by BJP State president & MLA Sat Sharma CA attended by State general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, State general secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh and Pawan Khajuria, MLCs Ramesh Arora and Surinder Ambardar and Kashmir Displaced District president Chand Ji Bhat, threadbare discussions were held on the situation in Kashmir and the role of party leaders of Valley in contributing towards bringing peace and normalcy, besides helping the Amarnath yatris.
The meeting focused on the issue related to the migration of Kashmir employees in view of the turmoil in the Valley and their security.
All the four members of BJP committee, which was recently constituted to apprise the party about the day to day developments in Kashmir and comprised of Ramesh Arora, Dr. Narinder Singh, Surinder Ambardar, Chand Ji Bhat were authorized to meet the Kashmiri employees who have shifted to Jammu because of the prevailing conditions and prepare a detailed report to be submitted to the party as well to the Union Government.
Sat Sharma, while speaking in the meeting, reiterated the party’s commitment towards the security of the people and said that Kashmiri Hindus who had been living in Kashmir for the past quiet sometime to perform their duties in different departments have left their places as they were feeling insecure. He said that the party as well as its ministers in the State coalition are seriously keeping vigil on the developments in the Valley and every effort is being made to ensure that there is no loss of life and the people are provided an environment where no one has to leave due to activities of anti national elements.
The committee has decided to meet the representative of employees to restore confidence among them in prevailing circumstances, he said.
