BJP discusses issue of Pandit employees, ASKPC joins protest

JAMMU, July 30:  President BJP displaced Chand Ji Bhat today called the meeting of prominent citizens of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community to discuss the prevailing situation which has arisen due to unrest in Kashmir owing to which the minority community employees working in Valley were forced to flee to Jammu as they were not having proper security arrangements there.
The representatives of the protesting employees who were also present in the meeting presented their demands and discussed the way forward with the prominent citizens which included the heads of various KP organizations and social activists.
While deliberating the issue MLC Surinder Ambardar who presided over the meeting said that KPs have resolved that one day they all will return to Kashmir valley with a guarantee of non refoulment and retention. However, as of now the situation needs to be monitored closely and before any decision is taken on the return the employees there is need to have strong deliberation on the same to arrive at a consensus and that is reason why BJP KDD has called the meeting of prominent people of the displaced community so that the issue is discussed at length.
Ambardar also added that State BJP has cognizance of the issue and has already constituted a four member Committee who have already visited and met with the protesting employees couple of days back.
Chand Ji Baht said that BJP is always with the Kashmiri Pandits and for protection of their rights and it will continue to do the same.
