JAMMU, Jan 14: To gear up for the coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections Bharatiya Janata Party, (BJP) held a meeting of its senior party functionaries from Kashmir Valley at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
The meeting was chaired by BJP State general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul and it was also addressed by party State general secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh and Sunil Sharma.
Ashok Kaul, in his address said that BJP is committed to the all round development of the State with the special emphasis that no region must feel ignored at the cost of another. He stressed that the alienation between the various groups must be discouraged at every cost and at the same time encouragement must be given for the participation of Kashmir Civil Society to promote the integration of the youth into the mainstream.
Kaul stressed that BJP has worked with the agenda of development, education and the provision of necessary amenities to the common masses in the past and it will remain so in the approaching Parliament elections also. Asking party men to be ready for the elections he said there is every possibility that Assembly elections may be held along with Parliament poll in the state. He asked party men to work with dedication on the ground to connect with the masses and at the same time work for strengthening of booth level structure of the party.
He also asked them forcefully counter the misleading propagandas of Congress, NC & PDP by taking facts to the masses and ensure landslide victory for party.
Dr. Narinder Singh, stressed that the common people have been benefitted by Centrally funded public welfare schemes for the very first time in history due to the bold steps taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sunil Sharma, said that the development in the terms of roads, power supply and others has been given pace under the present dispensation. While asking the leaders from Kashmir to work extensively for the approaching elections, he expressed confidence that the party will gain seats in all the regions.
Veer Ji Saraf, Altaf Thakur, Arif Raja, and others were amongst the prominent BJP leaders from Kashmir who participated in the meeting.
