JAMMU, Sept 13: To discuss the strategy for the upcoming Urban Local Bodies elections in Jammu & Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a meeting of its senior leaders, district Prabharis, district presidents, Morcha presidents, and district committees for ULB elections at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina, general secretary (Org.), Ashok Koul addressed the meeting. MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, former MP, Shamsher Singh Manhas, former Dy. CM, Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Dy. CM, Kavinder Gupta, former Minister, Sat Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, general secretary, J&K BJP conducted the meeting proceedings.
Threadbare discussions were held to formulate an effective strategy for rewriting history of winning the ULB elections.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, said that the coming days are very crucial for the party as the elections for ULBs are around the corner and the party cadre has to devote more time to ensure the thumping majority of BJP candidates. He said that like other states and UTs, Jammu & Kashmir too has witnessed unprecedented development at all levels besides numerous welfare schemes for the socio-economic upliftment of the poor and the needy. As for the Jammu city, the JMC corporators of the BJP have worked tirelessly to give facelift to their respective wards and today, the city has become an attractive place.
“There is a clear wave in favour of the BJP and the result will be positively good for the party”, said Ravinder Raina.
Ravinder Raina exhorted the party leaders holding different responsibilities to reach the people in their respective areas and educate them about the programmes and policies of BJP and also expose the opposition parties for their politics of lies and deceit.
Ashok Koul, in his address, said that the party has a well-knit organizational structure at all the levels and the need is to only mobilize the ground level workers, as they are the real strength for the success of the party. He prompted the party leaders to boost the coordination between the youth and the seniors of the party to gain the effective ground working in all the committees, councils and the corporations in Jammu & Kashmir.
