JAMMU, Mar 22: Terming the claim of Apni Party that “BJP will not cross double digit in upcoming Assembly poll” as a political gimmick to remain in news, the BJP has said that it don’t need certificate from any party, including Apni Party, which has almost no standing in public.
Balbir Ram Rattan, spokesperson of the party said that the president of Apni Party should have first learnt history of BJP and its political growth. He reminded the Apni Party leader that BJP is the only party which has highest membership in the world, besides winning largest number of MPs, MLAs in India. Here, in J&K, it is the BJP only, which has been getting strengthened with each passing year in every election, he added.
Balbir said BJP has its representation in large in every democratic institution like Panchayats, Urban Local Bodies, BDCs, DDCs etc. It had Rajya Sabha MP and 25 MLAs in last Assembly and 11 MLCs. Currently BJP has two MPs in Lok Sabha from J&K and one from Ladakh.
“Ours is a party with committed cadre, always on fore front for the service of motherland and the people”, Balbir said.
He said the BJP Government at the Centre has gifted Jammu and Kashmir with prestigious institutions in health and education sectors, mega projects of power generation, road connectivity, upgrading of air services, modernization of railway station, extending rail connectivity to Kashmir, granting political reservation to STs, ending discrimination among LoC and border residents in reservation.
Balbir said that it is the BJP, which has, for the first time, granted ten per cent reservation to general category’s  economically backward people.
