BJP drive getting overwhelming response: Koul

JAMMU, Apr 15: Claiming that the ongoing membership drive in the State is receiving overwhelming response in all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir, BJP state general secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, said that “we have registered twenty thousand new members in Leh and ten thousand in Kargil till now and are going to enrol record number of members in this cold desert region”.
Ashok Koul, who is on four-day tour of Ladakh to review the ongoing membership drive, held series of meetings at different levels with the senior local leaders at Leh and Kargil and further discussed ways and means to cover maximum population and mobilise public support in favour of the BJP.
Ashok Koul, while addressing these meetings, said that the party activists across the country are approaching the people to register them as members through use of mobile. The contribution of Jammu and Kashmir BJP has been most promising and we are nearer to achieve our target of registering   10 lakh members in the State. “Today BJP has become the single political party in the world which has the distinction of having largest number of members” he said and added that our principles, ideology and nationalist agenda has attracted the people to get associated with us.
BJP leader Haji Khuddam Hussain, party Councilors and office bearers at district and mandal levels and membership incharge attended these meetings.
