BJP ensures reservation, welfare of women: Kavinder

JAMMU, Mar 18: Senior BJP leader and former Dy CM, Kavinder Gupta here today reaffirmed his party’s commitment to ensure full implementation of 33 per cent reservation for women, both within party’s organizational structure and at constitutional posts.
Chairing a meeting with BJP women leaders here today, Gupta cited the recent nomination of first-time MLA, Rekha Gupta as the Chief Minister of Delhi, as a testament to BJP’s commitment to gender equality in governance.
“From Ujjwala Yojana to Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, our Government has consistently introduced policies that uplift women socially, economically and politically,” he maintained adding, “The abrogation of Article 370 has opened new avenues for women in J&K while earlier the women in J&K faced injustice in property rights and political representation.”
The BJP leader urged the women of J&K to actively engage in politics and take advantage of opportunities BJP is creating for them.
“From Panchayats to Parliament, BJP believes in women-led development and will continue to break barriers to ensure their rightful place in politics,” he continued.
