Party launches membership drive

JAMMU, Nov 6: Stating that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) exemplifies the true democracy in the political sphere of the nation, Sat Sharma, president, of J&K BJP said that his party believes and practices the true spirit of the temple of democracy both internally and in the nation as a whole.
Sat Sharma, was speaking on the sidelines of a programme to launch the “Sadasyata Abhiyan” primary membership drive of BJP in Jammu & Kashmir at party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Sat also made a veiled attack on the other political parties, and alleged that they are run by the spirit of nepotism where the whole organization is run by a single family.
Sat Sharma, accompanied by Ravinder Raina, former president, Kavinder Gupta, former Dy Chief Minister, Shamsher Singh Manhas, former president, Aseem Gupta, vice president and in charge Sadasyata Abhiyan, Munish Khajuria, convenor Sadasyata Abhiyan, Rekha Mahajan, district president, and Ankush Mahajan, co-convenor Abhiyan were present on the stage.
Sat, while addressing the party leaders during the launch of the Sadasyata Abhiyan, said that the nationwide primary membership drive of BJP was delayed in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir due to the recently concluded Assembly elections.
The membership drive at the national level was launched when Prime Minister, Narendra Modi took the primary membership of the party.
He said that, now the BJP has become the largest political party in the world surpassing China’s party which had 10 crore members.
Ashok Koul, while addressing the programme deliberated on the membership drive process which is better known as ‘Sangathan Parv’. He prompted all to give a missed call on 8800002024 and then to fill out the form provided in the link in the received SMS to become a primary member. He said that in rural areas, where the connectivity is low, first the forms will be filled up and then those forms will be registered online.
Ravinder Raina said that the membership drive is the backbone of an organization. He said that the onus of responsibility lies on the shoulders of every single activist of the party to achieve the target set by the party successfully. Shamsher Singh Manhas, Munish Khajuria and Ankit Gupta also spoke on the occasion. Ankush Mahajan conducted the proceedings of the programme.
