JAMMU, June 20: NC Women Wing vice president, Bimla Luthra claimed that Jammu suffered due to BJP’s non-performance and non-seriousness in addressing issues of development, employment and implementation of public welfare schemes.
Addressing NC women workers at Draptha in R.S Pura, Luthra said that instead of addressing these issues, the BJP is indulging in rhetoric, which does not augur well for the democratic polity.
She asked the BJP leadership to go for extensive introspection over its failures in J&K.
The NC leader claimed that BJP failed miserably in feeling pulse of the people and assuaging their economic, developmental and political aspirations.
“Due to non-availability of basic amenities including water, power, roads, lanes-drains etc, the residents of R.S Pura are passing through tough times,” she maintained adding that the unscheduled power cuts and erratic water supply has further deteriorated the lives of people here.
Luthra urged upon the NC cadre to reach out to the people and help them seek redressal to their problems, which have multiplied due to anti-poor policies of the government.
Those who were present in the meeting were Pinky Khalsa, district president NC women wing, Tilky, Joyti, Sabita, Bharti, Rani and others.
