JAMMU, Feb 7: Taking dig over BJP for its failure to fulfill its promises to various sections and categories of people, in the final budget of the Union and for J&K UT after ten years of Modi rule in the country, JKPCC has alleged that BJP has failed on all the fronts.
Taking exception to lack of any provision in the budget for fulfilling its important commitments made ten years before, to the different categories , JKPCC has said that there is nothing for various sections like refugees Kashmir migrants, daily wagers, adhoc, contractual employees, pensioners, including old age, widows, physically challenged and various other sections.
JKPCC senior vice president and party media chief Ravinder Sharma listed out various commitments which remained unfulfilled after ten years in power.
He said there is no progress over the Jammu- Poonch Railway Project, linking the border region. There is nothing for refugees of PoJK and other refugees as the recommend package of 2014 remains unfulfilled except Rs 5.5 lakh. BJP had promised to implement the package of Rs 30 lakh per family as recommended by NC- Congress government and enhanced to Rs 30 lakh by Parliamentary Committee of Home Ministry.
Nothing for enhancing the financial package to Kashmiri migrants, a long pending demand being agitated by them.
No provision for enhancing honorarium to Anganwadi workers, helpers, contractual, other such category of workers even when there is high price inflation.
No provision of regularisation of daily wagers, need based, SPOs, Homeguards, REK, NHM and other such category of adhoc, temporary employees, workers in jobs for more than 10 to 15 years, as promised by BJP before elections.
He further said that no provisions for clearing the pending liabilities of NG NREGA payments of workers and to revise the wages to current price index. The UT Government is unable to pay the GPF to employees and pensioners for years after retirement.
Even mid day meals payments being made by teachers from their pockets. There is no relief to the people from present exorbitant fees, taxes of various sorts.
He said that there is no major initiative to address the highest unemployment in J&K. The budget has dismayed different sections and left high and dry various suffering sections, poor and common man.
