JAMMU, Oct 5: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said that Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has failed in litmus test of the Home Minister’s (HM) visit with no mention of any of the issue of Jammu and Kashmir from the stage of rallies of the HM shows a completely insensitive approach of Government of India and BJP.
Addressing a presser, AAP leader and former minister, Harsh Dev Singh said that three-day visit of Union Home Minister was an important one for J&K as Home Minister is the chair who is supervising the affairs in J&K and is direct decision making body.
“There were large scale expectations and hope from this visit and everyone was hopeful that Union Home Minister will make some big announcements but all these expectations have ended with no other announcement except promise for ST status to Paharis,” said Singh.
He added that, “Union Home Minister made not even a small mention of burning issues of J&K while addressing twin rallies in Rajouri and Baramulla and it is completely unfortunate.”
Harsh Dev said that J&K is passing through a phase of uncertainty with rising unemployment, poor development, issue of daily wagers, NHM employees, vocational trainers, SPOs, Home Guards, teachers, special package employees, Kashmiri Pandit employees among others some burning issues that require immediate attention of Government.
“Everyone was expecting that Union Home Minister will make some statements on these issues especially on daily wagers working in different Government departments but not even a single word has been spoken which clearly established that both J&K Government and BJP have failed to communicate these issues to the Government of India, which itself is insensitive towards Jammu and Kashmir and has turned it into a laboratory of experiments and slogan,” he added.
