JAMMU, Sep 10: Senior Congress leader and contesting candidate for Bahu constituency, Taranjit Singh Tony today lambasted the BJP for its failure to control the rising incidents of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a large public meeting, Tony expressed deep concern over the loss of precious lives, pointing out that the security situation in the region has worsened under BJP’s governance.
“Ever since the BJP has taken charge of Jammu and Kashmir, militancy has increased manifold. The once green and peaceful mountains of the Jammu region are now infested with militancy. This Government has failed to provide safety and security to the people,” he said.
Tony called upon the people to vote for the Congress, as the party is committed to restoring peace, prosperity, and development in the region.
“People have made up their minds to bring Congress back to power,” he said, emphasizing that a change in leadership is necessary to address the rising issues in the State.
Tony appealed to the people to support him and the INDI Alliance in the upcoming elections for a better future for Jammu and Kashmir.
