Resolution calls for Amarnath yatra throughout year

JAMMU, June 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded holding of early Assembly poll in J&K after the completion of Delimitation process.
A political resolution to this effect was passed by party in its State Working Committee meeting here today which was chaired by BJP JKUT president, Ravinder Raina. The resolution was moved by party general secretary, Vibodh Gupta and it was seconded by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and former Deputy CM, Dr Nirmal Singh.
In its 25 point political resolution the party also stressed on early finalization of Delimitation report followed by immediate holding of Assembly poll. The party in its political resolution strongly advocated for equitable distribution of seats of Legislative Assembly of UT to give true representation to Jammu region which has been denied the same for over last 70 years.
The resolution said that the formation of representative Government has become imperative in the UT at an earliest to meet the aspirations of the people. The resolution also gave a call to BJP activists in the UT to be ready to participate in elections with a target to have absolute majority on its own to form next Government in the UT and have its first Chief Minister.
The resolution strongly condemned the killings of political workers in Valley especially of BJP and fresh spurt of terror incidents.
Maintaining that Kashmir without Kashmiri Pandits is inconceivable, the party resolution also resolved to press for the their return to Valley in secured manner to their satisfaction and stressed in grant of representation in State Legislative Assembly to all marginalized communities of J&K.
The resolution also impressed upon the Government to take steps for opening of holy Amarnath yatra throughout the year by creating necessary infrastructure in this regard. The resolution urged the Government to settle the long pending issues of Village Defence Committees (VDCs) members and provide them justice in view of immense role played by them in containing and fighting militancy in J&K.
The resolution further urged the Government to expedite the recruitment process to address the pressing demand of unemployed youth of the UT and also stressed on settlement of the issue of regularisation of daily wagers, work charge, adhoc employees etc who are waiting for their regularization for years together.
Further, the resolution urged the UT Government to streamline mining to ensure availability of minor minerals and construction material at cheap rates to public by creating more mining blocks and stopping illegal mining. Besides, it stressed for early settlement of the demands of MGNREGA to mitigate sufferings of the people. The resolution also complimented Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending financial package to J&K and urged the UT Government for early completion of projects of public importance.
BJP national general secretary, incharge J&K, Tarun Chug and Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh virtually addressed the Working Committee meeting while party Seh Prabhari , Ashysh Sood physically participated at Jammu office.
About 80 party men were present in Jammu office among the 200 party men while others participated virtually from their respective districts.
Addressing the meeting virtually Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh said that largest vaccination drive launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in the country provides opportunity to BJP workers to get associated with it and convert it into a mass contact programme and use the occasion reach out to people.
Dr Jitendra Singh also appreciated the manner in which all the party men pledged themselves to assist the COVID management programme and COVID victims borne by the fact that BJP got maximum number of leaders and workers infected by Pandemic whereas most of opposition leaders were issuing just statements.
The Union Minister, while responding to critics with the facts and figures said opposition leaders questioning efficacy of vaccine got themselves secretly vaccinated. Congress president, Sonia Gandhi and other senior leaders of opposition received both vaccines, he added.
He said till date 32 crore Indians were vaccinated in country and in J&K nearly 43 lakh got already vaccinated and by June end there will be 100 percent vaccination of 45 Plus in J&K. He said out of Rs 2.50 crore MP fund allocated by him Rs two crore were already dispensated and Rs 10 lakh were provided by him from personnel sources for children of COVID hit families.
Addressing the meeting, BJP national general secretary, Tarun Chug stressed on strengthening booth and Mandal Committees which will be key to formation of next Government by the party in J&K. He said BJP activists are the main strength of the party and highlighted the role of party men across the country in assisting people suffering COVID Pandemic.
Chug said the BJP activists played a heroic role in assisting people during the COVID across the country as every party activist is guided by the principle of the nation first.
Ashish Sood, Seh Prabhari of J&K also stressed on strengthening party at booth and Mandal level and threw light on future programmes.
Ravinder Raina, JKUT president of the party informed about the outcome of recent meeting with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and urged party men to be ready for the future elections and take this message to every nook and corner.
He also threw light on the party’s political resolution saying that completion of early delimitation process is must for holding the Assembly poll in the UT so that the public representatives can represent the aspirations of the people.
Among others, BJP national secretary, Dr Narinder Singh, former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta, former Minister, Sat Sharma, former MP ,Shamsher Singh Manhas, general secretaries, Ashok Kaul, Sunil Sharma and Dr D K Manyal, vice presidents Yudhvir Sethi and Pawan Khajuria, chief spokesperson, Sunil Sethi, former Minister, Priya Sethi sr leader Ashok Khajuria and others participated in the meeting.
