KATHUA, Apr 4: Col Mahan Singh (Retired) DDC Chairman Kathua today said that the BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to develop remote and isolated areas in J&K.
The DDC Chairman was addressing an impressive gathering at far off areas of Dhar Dugnoo and Deotha Panchayat. He went on foot from Jagna (Dhar Jankher) to Khadri, Kund, Johl, Bakali, Kentha, Band, Jakhnoo, Deotha and Godal to have firsthand knowledge about the issues which the people are confronting since last so many years. It was over 35 Km run which he covered on feet while passing through hilly and difficult terrain.
Col Mahan was accompanied by DDC Councilor Tajinder Singh Goldy, BDC Chairperson Nisha Thakur, Capt Harnam Singh (Retired), Naresh Thakur, BJP local leader Dharam Chand, BJYM youth leader Shalinder Singh, Randhir Singh, Sarpanch Godal Rajinder Singh, Dewan Chand and many others.
On the way, Col Mahan met villagers who narrated their woes with regard to road connectivity, shortage of drinking water, poor electricity infrastructure, issues related to forest clearance, shortage of teachers in schools, etc. Col Mahan assured the people that sooner than later their each and every issue will be resolved.
Addressing the gathering, the DDC Chairman said that the administration will reach each and every household in the region especially in remote areas to bail out entire population from the life of inadequacy of facilities and edifice as every citizen under the Modi Government has equal right and the promise of this dispensation facilities at the doorsteps.
DDC Chairman also met BJP’s booth level workers and emphasized on strengthening of party booths as part of ongoing BJP Booth Sampark Abhiyan. Later, the DDC Chairman inaugurated a newly constructed Government Ration Sale Depot at Deotha and two newly constructed Foot Bridges over Suslad and Talad Nallahs.
