BJP Govt committed to provide services at doorstep of people: Bharat Bhushan

JAMMU, Mar 16: BJP led Government at the Centre is committed to providing every service on the doorstep of people, especially those residing in rural areas.
This was stated by District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, Jammu, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi while chairing a Block Diwas, a part of ambitious Jan Abhiyan programme, at Sai Palace Mishriwala.
On the occasion, District Development Commissioner Anshul Garg, Satish Kumar Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu; ACD, SDM North, BDOs and officers of various departments including Horticulture, Agriculture, Hortic-ulture, Education, Social Welfare and JKPDCL were present.
DDC Member Marh, Balbir Ram, BDC Chairman, Bhalwal, Kuldeep Raj, BDC Chairman, Marh Surinder Kumar, Sarpanches and Panches of Marh and Bhalwal were also present.
At the outset, the people apprised the DDC Chairman about their issues especially with regard to civic necessities, revenue related concerns and other day to day problems. In the programme, about 69 domicile certificates, 69 Distance Area Certificates, 38 Income Certificates, 146 Land Pass Books (Revenue), 10 SC certificates, three OBC certificates, seven Khasra Girdwaris, eight Jambandies, 23 Mutations, 92 IB certificates and 30 Ayushman Cards were provided to the beneficiaries.
Hearing the various demands raised by members of civil society regarding power supply, water supply and implementation of development projects, the DDC Chairman said the outreach programme of the Government is aimed at providing doorstep services to the people and bringing accountability and transparency into the implementation of various schemes besides strengthening democracy at grassroots level.
He assured that sooner than later their problems shall be addressed as the Government is keen to provide good governance.
Bharat Bhushan said that with the advent of three-tier Panchayati Raj system, participative democracy has become a reality and people are the primary shapers of developmental plans. He said that making Panchayat institutions strong will prove engine for development particularly in rural and far flung areas. He said that various works are being executed on ground and people should participate in the developmental process through various available mechanisms like social audit, local labour participation, etc.
The DDC Chairman directed front line functionaries of various line departments to be punctual and give due hearing to public grievances.
While appreciating the people’s participation in the program, DC Anshul Garg urged the public to come forward and work as a team for the development of the area. He instructed the line departments to examine the issues and demands put forth by the public in the program and submit report at the earliest.
