JAMMU, Mar 17: Former Minister and senior leader of National Conference Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said that the BJP Government in the Centre has utterly failed to protect J&K cadre JKAS/ JKPS/ IAS/ IPS officers.
“Posting of various officers from different central services and IAS has sent a wrong signal down below and it is being taken as an attempt to marginalize JK cadre officers,” Sadhotra said. He was addressing a party workers’ meeting at Durgo Chak in Marh Block of Jammu district.
The former Minister said KAS/KPS officers have already been badly hurt as their induction quota in IAS/IPS has been curtailed from 50 % to 33 %. He said it is unfortunate that BJP in power never spoke in support of JK cadre officers. He further added that there is no match to J&K cadre JKAS/JKPS/IAS/IPS officers as they have fought militancy bravely and have a long experience at their back to handle J&K affairs.
“Instead of encouraging the J&K cadre officers, they are being discouraged. New entrants are new to the state, they will take 2-3 years to understand and by that time they will be sent back. It will create chaos and confusion, resulting in immense suffering of common man,” the NC leader added.
Sadhotra urged the Government not to make J&K laboratory of IAS and allied services by making new experiments, and instead encourage the State cadre officers so that J&K could be brought out of present chaos.
On the occasion, many workers of other political parties joined National Conference. Parent & Youth Committee of Durgo Chak was also constituted on the occasion.
