JAMMU, July 25: District Congress Committee Jammu Rural today staged a protest against the Union Govt led by Narendra Modi, especially its Enforcement Directorate (ED) for harassing the top Congress leaders by implicating them in false cases.
The protest was held near the office of SDM North at Jammu North Assembly segment and was led by Mula Ram former minister and Vice President JKPCC; Hari Singh Chib – president DCC Jammu Rural and Uday Bhanu Chib- president Youth Congress Jammu and Kashmir. The protesting activists carrying placards in their hands raised slogans against the Enforcement Directorate and the Modi Govt.
Addressing the gathering Mula Ram accused the Union Govt of using Govt agencies as tools against the opposition party leaders. He said false cases are being framed against Congress Party’s top leaders and that too without registration of FIR or presence of money transaction records by the Enforcement Directorate. This is blatant murder of democracy and Congress workers will continue protests till ED, CBI, NIA, etc stop harassing party leaders, he asserted.
DCC Jammu Rural chief, Chib said that Modi led Govt after having miserably failed on all fronts has stooped so low that it is resorting to cheap politics of political vendetta using its agencies against top Congress leaders. Warning the Govt against such attitude and actions, Chib said no party worker in the JKPCC cadre will tolerate unnecessary harassment caused to the top leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. He said the people at large across the nation are fed up with the anti- people policies of the BJP Govt and are waiting anxiously to teach it a lesson in the next elections.
PYC chief Uday Chib said that after failing in governance, BJP was observing the swing of the people towards supporting opposition parties in the elections. It has landed them into utter frustration as a result of which it is resorting to the low tactics. The people have realized today how the BJP leaders have betrayed the people. He said youth in J&K are up in arms against BJP for having failed to fulfill its promise of addressing unemployment issue and recruitment scams.
