JAMMU, Oct 20: Senior BJP leader and former Minister, Bali Bhagat today said that the BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi will not allow Pakistan to disturb the law and order situation in the Kashmir Valley.
The former Minister was addressing a party workers meeting here at Lower Roop Nagar in connection with the upcoming visit of Home Minister, Amit Shah to Jammu on October 24. He said that Pakistan has become desperate to disturb peace in the UT of J&K especially after the abrogation of Article 370, which paved the way for return of normalcy in the region.
Bali Bhagat said that there is a lot of improvement in the law and order in the last two years in Jammu and Kashmir and this fact is bothering the rogue nation very much. He said that the police and security agencies are fighting those elements in the Valley who rely on terrorism to run their shops because they got support from their mentors sitting across the border. “Peace in Valley means closure of their shops and that is why they counter each step taken in the direction of bringing back normalcy and get involved in acts of terror and tormenting the innocent”, he said.
Bali said that the BJP Government at the Centre is well aware of Pakistan’s designs of disturbing law and order in J&K and therefore will not allow the same to take shape here. He said that the way the BJP Government has propelled the development in the UT soon there will be no takers for Pakistan’s narrative on Kashmir as the people are happy and pleased with the progress which Kashmir has been witnessing after saying goodbye to Article 370.
The senior party leader asked the workers to make the visit of Home Minister to Jammu a landmark event as he is coming to Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after the abrogation of Article 370 from the erstwhile State.
Former Rajya Sabha BJP MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, district President Rajinder Singh Chib also addressed the meeting.
Shamsher Singh Manhas asked party workers to strengthen the BJP at every nook and corner. He also urged them to reach out to the people to make them aware about the pro-people policies of the PM Narendra Modi led BJP Government at the Centre that continue paying dividends to the party as well as the people.
