POONCH, Oct 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Vikar Rasool Wani today expressed grave concern over the militancy revival in J&K especially in border districts Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu Division, terming it an utter failure of the BJP Govt on security front.
Wani was addressing district level party workers’ meeting at Poonch today. He was accompanied by JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla, vice president Jehangir Mir, former Minister and DCC president Rajouri Shabir Ahmad Khan, general secretary Iftikhar Ahmad, Mahila president, Shameema Raina and various other party functionaries. The meeting was organized by DCC president Poonch Rajinder Singh Kaka.
Speaking on the occasion Wani said that revival of militancy in Rajouri, Poonch and other border districts is a matter of grave concern while slamming BJP Govt at the Centre for failing to address issues concerning people especially joblessness, lack of development and various other issues.
Wani termed the policies of BJP as divisive, based on hate and division and expressed confidence that Congress Party shall defeat the designs of BJP- RSS which are hell bent upon to divide people on religious and regional lines. BJP Govt instead of focusing on development and protection of people especially in border areas is out to mislead people on various counts.
Our brave soldiers were martyred in line of duty, but the Centre’s failure on the security front has led to the militancy revival, which is a matter of grave concern and should work as eye opener for the BJP leaders, who are only making tall claims and praise Modi Govt for nothing.
Working president Raman Bhalla hit out at BJP for misleading people by playing religions and other emotional cards for the lust of power. He expressed satisfaction that people not only in J&K but across the country have rejected divisive and religious politics of BJP. Bhalla blamed BJP for looting public money under the garb of tax terror, unprecedented price hike on petrol, diesel, cooking gas and other essentials including installation of smart meters.
Bhalla alleged that BJP is afraid of facing Assembly and other elections, which are being deliberately delayed, but how long J&K will be kept at the mercy of bureaucracy. Election has to happen sooner or later in J&K, then the BJP will realize that misleading and religions politics would not work anymore, he added.
Addressing the meeting JKPCC vice president Jehangir Mir urged the part workers to remain steadfast to serve people, for the fact, Congress has always served people equally irrespective of their colour or religion, which is the core of the party.
DCC president Rajouri Shabir Khan cautioned the party workers about the designs of BJP, which is hell bent upon to divide people for the lust of power. He advised them to take the party policies and programmes door to door vigorously and seek people full support of public to defeat the divisive politics of BJP, which is ruling J&K in a dictatorial way.
Senior party leaders Iftikhar Ahmad, Parveen Sarwar Khan, Shakil Mir, Mohib Khan, Sajad Tariq, Fiaz Diwan, Abhinav Sharma, Lalit Gupta, Mehboob Bhatt, Balbir Singh, Balvinder Singh and others also spoke on the occasion.
