BJP harassing Phallain Mandal people: Sadhotra

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, May 21: Former minister and senior National Conference leader, Ajay Sadhotra has alleged that BJP was playing fixed match by getting poor people of Kirpalpur, Nandni and Chak Sardar Attar Singh in Mandal Tehsil harassed.
In a press statement here today, Sadhotra said that the harassment of poor people of these villages by Government and BJP is unacceptable. He said these people have been living in these villages and cultivating agricultural land under their possession for the last more than fifty years and have constructed their houses out of their whole life hard earnings. It is sad and unfortunate that Government is hell bent to demolish their houses and dispossess them from agricultural land under the garb of encroachments.
Sadhotra reminded that National Conference is committed to provide shelter to poor people and has never harassed poor people. Rather always severely dealt with land grabbers. It is unfortunate that present BJP Government is harassing the poor people and the land grabbers making hay while BJP Government is shining. National Conference Government has once regularized 12 unauthorized colonies of poor people in one go so that poor people are not put to any trouble and inconvenience.
NC leader said Government should tighten noose on the big land grabbers and small poor people and should be dealt in a realistic way. BJP is playing politics by pressurizing and harassing these poor and helpless people. Sadhtora asked the people to be cool, calm and do not take law in their own hands.
